  1. Is the movie title prominently featured? Is the text easy to read? The text is easy to read for the viewer however the title is not in the poster
  2. Are the main actors shown? If so, which ones? There are no actors shown on the poster only the date and the slogan is shown.
  3. What is the design of the movie poster? Does it accurately reflect the mood and tone of the film? Yes the poster implies that the movie has sinister characters also as well as the background is black to create the character darker.
  4. What other images are included? What do you notice about the framing of the images? There are no other pictures included as the picture in the poster is very striking so there is no need for another picture in the poster.
  5. What text is shown on the poster? Is there a catchy slogan? If so, what does it tell you  about the movie's story? There is just a slogan saying revenge is coming to also indicate that the title itself is called revenge of the fallen
  6. Is there any other important information included on the poster? The date that when it comes out is also shown with another small text at the bottom.
  7. Why do/don't you think this movie poster is persuasive? The film itself lacked story and did not have a lot of fight scenes in the film quite boring overall.

Pringles camera obscura

Last week we made camera obscuras' out of pringles tubs, we had to clean and wipe the insides of the pringle tub.

After that we had to cut the the bottom of the pringle tube and made a mark that was two inches from the bottom of the pringle tub.

We then used a pin to make a hole that was in the center of the metal end of the pringle tub so that light could go through it. The plastic lid was then used for the screen of the camera obscura, it was then put onto the smaller piece of the tube and then refitted back together.

I then I had to put tin foil to prevent any other light coming in. To hold the tin foil together I had to put masking tape so that it would stay together.

It worked better when the lights were turned off as we had been using light that was unnecessary.

Muybridge's theory

We used Muybridges theory of stop motion where we would take an individual shot of the pupil, we had to make marker points to show exactly when we were suppose to shoot. We were trying to show Tom in motion.

Small People Photography

Muybridge's Motion Studies

1. Can you find Image evidence of the technique?
2. When was it first discovered and by whom? Eadweard Muybridge discovered the technique on June 19th 1878
3. What is special about the technique? The idea was that film had come from this technique, and inspired to make films.
4. How does this technique work? Can you find or describe the processes needed to make it work? Maybe illustrate how it is made. In the original Muybridge had taken 24 pictures with 24 cameras which were 27 inches apart and about 1/25 of a second in time.
5.
Can you comment how important this technique has been for the history of photography. For example was it popular and is it still used today? It was the first use of film and it had inspired people to use this technique for further productions.

Camera Obscurer post

Can you find Image evidence of the technique?
When was it first discovered and by whom? The Camera Obscura has been invented by many people and none really know a specific date it was invented.
What is special about the technique? It was the first phenomenon that defined photography made the photography possible today, it is basically the origins of photography.

How does this technique work? Can you find or describe the processes needed to make it work? Maybe illustrate how it is made. The room needs to be dark as possible; any unneeded light needs to be shut out so lights on the walls and natural light must be gone.

Can you comment how important this technique has been for the history of
photography? For example was it popular and is it still used today.
Before people even thought about taking a picture with a camera the camera obscurer had initially inspired them to make photography possible.

Daguerreotype

Can you find Image evidence of the technique?

When was it first discovered and by whom? The Daguerreotype was made by the photographer named Louis Daguerre

What is special about the technique? Light reflects through the daguerreotype and bouncing through the back of it creating a 3D effect, you can only make one image of a daguerreotype making it more special but limited

How does this technique work? Can you find or describe the processes needed to make it work? Maybe illustrate how it is made. The technique is where you rub it down with leather put it into film and then expose it to light making the daguerreotype

Can you comment how important this technique has been for the history of photography. For example was it popular and is it still used today? The Daguerreotype is now considered more of a hobby rather than the actual process of real initial photography, it has a cult following because it has a traditional process
