My ideas

We are studying micro photography for the next four weeks; here are some of my ideas:
Cantene: I think the cantene would be a good example to show new students the choices and the different variety of foods at the cantene. The picture will show people in the cantene

Catering: There are many different courses in the college but one of the best examples for people who are new to central sussex college is Catering as it is a good business plan for any future job. The picture will represent people in the catering department.

Fabrication: I chose Fabrication as I particulary think that it represents the college well and I think it is a good example of one of the good courses here. The picture will show people in the welding department.

Media: I have chosen media because I think it is a great course it offers really good opportunities i.e. journalisim, photography, animation and so on. The picture will show people using cameras.

Introduction to Slinkachu

Slinkachu (b. 1979) is a British street artist, photographer and blogger. He is best known for his Little People, in 2006 he has been installed at various locations in London. His art has been presented in a series of exhibitions in London and Norway.

I like the concept of this picture, I think it reminds of somewhat of a movie where it is the end of the world and people have to survive giant bees
I think this really shows a true art design here, the fact that the artist has a massive wide open space he decides to draw an ant instead.

Assignment 1

What is the difference between traditional photography and digital photography?
Analogue photography is where you have to use chemicals and film where as a digital does not. Another difference between digital and analogue is that digital uses a sensor not a film.

What are the different sources of digital images?
There are many different sources that you can you use to conatian digital images i.e. the Internet, camera, mobile, DVD, cam recorder, Web Cam, CCTV, I pod, T.V., I pad etc

How are digital image files stored and played on a computer?
A RAW file is what the camera creates as an original file. RAW files are very large and they are also unaltered and not all software can edit them. other examples are USB cable, WIFI, Bluetooth, JPEG the quality is sacrificed with JPEG but there is a reduction in the file.

How is digital image file quality measured
You have to use light sensitive paper for analogue photography where as Digital just uses normal paper. Megapixel equals 1,000,000 pixels. 1 megapixel is fuzzy as well as the image looks blocky where as 6 is smoother and more vivid

Intro to photography

I want to get as much as I can out of photography and also symbolising what images mean what is into the the picture where if it is at a landscape or a portrait type of picture. Or even some pictures that are a close big shot, to a mid shot, to a long shot. I am very interested about films and I would love to make my own films as well.

These are interests of mine.
