Assignment 1

What is the difference between traditional photography and digital photography?
Analogue photography is where you have to use chemicals and film where as a digital does not. Another difference between digital and analogue is that digital uses a sensor not a film.


 






What are the different sources of digital images?
There are many different sources that you can you use to conatian digital images i.e. the Internet, camera, mobile, DVD, cam recorder, Web Cam, CCTV, I pod, T.V., I pad etc

























 


How are digital image files stored and played on a computer?
A RAW file is what the camera creates as an original file. RAW files are very large and they are also unaltered and not all software can edit them. other examples are USB cable, WIFI, Bluetooth, JPEG the quality is sacrificed with JPEG but there is a reduction in the file.

 



How is digital image file quality measured
You have to use light sensitive paper for analogue photography where as Digital just uses normal paper. Megapixel equals 1,000,000 pixels. 1 megapixel is fuzzy as well as the image looks blocky where as 6 is smoother and more vivid
